7 a.m., Timkat (Epiphany), the holiest celebration of the Ethiopian orthodox calendar. Wandering around people in deep meditation, my eyes grasped the view of this lady reading the Bible written in Amharic. Due to a quite poor morning light, I switched my D200 to the B&W mode. I admit it would have been better to switch to B&W in post-treatment, but what the hell, amateur's mistakes happen!
I love your composition in this - wonderful. The highlights perhaps a wee bit blown, but as a high contrast shot, it's great.

Fantastic image, and quite evocative. I think it worked very well as the face and Coptic script are perfectly contrasted and the veils seem to have a sort of aura to them. Well done!
