Ethiopia style Monument Valley

Posted by Jeremie (Brooklyn, New York, United States) on 29 May 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

View over the dramatic landscape of Gueralta, in Tigray. This site is well known for its old troglodytic churches, dug in the rock some ten centuries ago. The picture, featuring an old orthodox priest, was taken near the site of Maryam Korkor church, high up in the rocky mountains, just above a 300-meters cliff dominating the Tigray plains. Northern Ethiopia.

As I am moving in a new apartment this week end, I will have no access to Internet for few days and will therefore not be able to reply to your comments. However, photographs will still be posted everydays. I will try to catch up with you once I am back on the World Wide Web. See you soon!
